RULES
(Subject to change. By participating, you agree to these terms &
conditions.)
**THIS SILENT AUCTION IS OPEN TO US RESIDENTS ONLY**
SILENT AUCTIONS:
In this silent auction, bids are e-mailed in. The bid value is not published and you will not be notified of the current high bid, so bid the highest price you are willing to pay for the item. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder wins the item. If you win, you pay the amount you bid, regardless of what the second highest bid was. Payment must be received before item is mailed out to you, and you are responsible for any S&H costs. (If you lose, you don’t pay any money.)
RESERVE/MINIMUM BID PRICES:
All silent auctions will have a reserve price (aka minimum bid amount). Your bid must be this dollar amount or higher, in order for you to have a chance to win. For example: If the reserve is $40, you can bid $40 or even $40.01, but you cannot bid $39.99.
Click on any autograph you’re interested in to see the minimum amount you must bid in order to win.
SUBMITTING A SILENT AUCTION BID:
E-mail in the following information:
· Your Name
· Your Phone #
· Your E-mail Address
· Your city & state (verifying eligibility, since this auction is only open to US residents)
· Celebrity autograph you are bidding on
If that celebrity has donated more than autograph, please specify which autograph you are bidding on (if no preference, please state that!)
· Bid Amount
CELEBRITY AUTOGRAPHS:
Celebrity autographs in the fundraiser can be viewed online: http://www.jackivenezia.com/celebrity. Please realize that these are scans so the colors and quality may be slightly off from the actual version you will receive. You can click on any autograph to view a larger version of it, including a description that tells you what the autograph says (if celebrity wrote a note) and what the minimum bid is for the item.
WINNERS (Non-Georgia Residents):
All winners will be contacted starting on the evening of November 16. Please note that you have 48 hours to respond to our e-mail stating you are the winner to confirm that you still want the autograph AND to provide us with a mailing address. (We cannot ship to PO Boxes or outside of the US.)
You will then be invoiced for the cost of the item + S&H costs (shipping, packaging, tracking information, signature confirmation, insurance, etc). All payments must be made via PayPal within 72 hours. If we don’t receive payment by that time, we will assume you have changed your mind and contact the next highest bidder.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY (Non-Georgia Residents):
Any item you won and completed payment for via PayPal will be mailed out to you within 72 business hours. (Business hours do not include weekends or holidays.) Autographs will be mailed to the address you provided, so please verify that it is correct. We are not responsible if the address you provided is incorrect and the item is unable to be delivered. You are responsible for any additional postage costs if the item has to be redelivered.
After item is mailed, you will be sent an email confirming that the item has been mailed and providing any tracking or delivery confirmation information (as available). All items must be signed for, so please have someone available to sign for the package. If the item is unable to be signed for and is returned to us, you are responsible for any additional postage costs for the item to be redelivered to you.
If any item is unable to be delivered to you, and we are unable to reach you, you will be refunded the cost of the autograph NOT the cost of any S&H. The next highest bidder will then be contacted. Basically, you lose out on the autograph and will not be refunded S&H costs.
WINNERS (Georgia Residents):
All winners will be contacted starting on the evening of November 16. Please note that you have 48 hours to respond to our e-mail stating you are the winner to confirm that you still want the autograph AND to confirm that you would like to “Pick Up” the autograph in person. (If you would prefer delivery, please provide us with the address to mail the item to. We cannot ship to PO Boxes or outside of the US.)
You will then be invoiced via PayPal. If the item is to be mailed, the invoice will include all S&H costs. If the item is for “Pick Up,” the item will include just the cost of the autograph.
All payments must be made via PayPal within 72 hours. If we don’t receive payment by that time, we will assume you have changed your mind and contact the next highest bidder.
“PICK UP,” SHIPPING & DELIVERY (Georgia Residents):
You have the option to pick up the item (after payment is received via Paypal) at a public location of our choosing in the Atlanta-area or Macon. (If you have a preference for the Atlanta-area or Macon, please state so.) If you choose to pick up the item, there will be no S&H costs, but you will be responsible for any travel expenses you may incur (including gas).
Pick Ups will be scheduled. We will provide you with dates, times, and locations. You must respond back to that e-mail within 72 hours to schedule a date, time, and location. If we do not hear back from you, we will assume you are no longer interested and contact the next highest bidder.
If you would prefer to pay S&H costs and have the item delivered to you, please see the SHIPPING & DELIVERY (Non-Georgia Residents) for the details of that process.
If we are unable to deliver the item to you, the next highest bidder will be contacted. If you paid for the autograph, you will be refunded for the cost of the autograph. (No S&H costs will be refunded, if applicable.)
WINNERS LIST:
By participating in this auction you agree that we can publish or promote your
name as a winner by any electronic or print means. A full list of winners will
be available on the website for a period of time. (Please note that the full
list of winners will not include certain personal information, such as e-mail
address, phone numbers, or mailing addresses of the winners.)
We will NOT sell your information to any third-parties.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?:
All profits from the “Lions & Tigers & Celebrities – OH MY!” fundraiser will go
to the Roar Foundation (http://www.shambala.org).
That money will go directly towards supporting and caring for the animals of the
Shambala Preserve. Be sure to check back at the conclusion of the auction to see
our update on how much money was raised.
